School-age children refer to minors from 6 years old to under 18 years old. They are in the stage of growth and development, and comprehensive and sufficient nutrition is the material guarantee for their normal growth and development, even for their lifelong health. The school-age period is a critical period for establishing healthy beliefs and forming healthy eating behaviors. It will benefit them for a lifetime to develop healthy eating behaviors and lifestyles from an early age.
· Participate actively in food selection and preparation, and improve nutrition literacy.
· Eat a nutritious breakfast, choose snacks smartly, and foster healthy eating habits.
· Drink milk every day and water adequately, no sugar-sweetened beverages and no alcohol.
· Increase outdoor physical activities, reduce screen time, and do more than 60 minutes of medium to high intensity physical activities every day.
· Monitor physical growth regularly and maintain healthy weight gain.
